Sleeping Like a Baby

How often have you used the phrase “I slept like a baby?” I have, but not in the traditional sense. I slept like a baby last night. It seems a cold has settled into my nose making it run like a sieve. No big deal really. Nothing some Sudafed can’t help. The only bad thing is the sleeping like a baby part. I only sleep three to four hours at a stretch before I wake up unable to quiet my brain and fall back asleep quickly. Those of you who read here with fibromyalgia know this is really going to suck in a couple days when this sleep pattern catches up to me.

About Amanda

Amanda Griffiths sometimes feels as though she's running a zoo instead of a home. With two active autistic boys, they often make the noise of six kids. Pepper in some Army life and cyber schooling for spice, and it's organized chaos at best. When visiting, please don't feed the animals. They have food allergies.

  1. oh man. I was just thinking the same thing. This 100 mg of Topamax + 3mg of melatonin (yep, back on that) + camomile tea at bedtime thing has me out cold, but I wonder what will happen when it doesn’t work anymore

  2. I never did get that expression, babies don’t sleep very well at all. Reminds me of what John McCain said on the Letterman show after the election. He said he was sleeping like a baby… slept for 2 hours woke up cried for a little while then went back to sleep for 2 hours and woke up and cried again. :-)
THAT is how a baby sleeps…. Hope you are feeling better, it totally sucks having a chronic illness.
