It’s officially April. That means:
1. The first quarter of this year flew by me faster than a speeding bullet.
2. It’s almost IEP time for my oldest.
3. The weather *should* be getting warmer soon. Ahem, Mother Nature.
4. It’s Autism Awareness Month and Month of the Military Child.
Today, I just want to leave you with two numbers. Numbers I’ll probably be repeating throughout the month.
-There are approximately1.7 million children in this country with a parent serving in the military
-1 in 88 military children are on the autism spectrum
You’re smart enough to do the math.

Wow, those are some staggering numbers. I had no idea the number was as high as 1 in 88. I look forward to reading more about both topics on your blog this month!

It’s really crazy the numbers of kids with issues these days. So sad.
i only can count to four, so, sadly I can’t do the math myself.

Here, I’ll help. That’s a population of almost 20,000 kids on the autism spectrum in the military community.
