Friday

Nothing overly exciting this week.

-I still sound like I have a 2 pack a day habit with this cough.

-The kids are now getting it, and I thought the shenanigans were the usual full moon craziness, but it’s that plus the being sick sensory I’m going to make your day crappy stuff too.

- I need to get a new picture for my driver’s license. I like the old one, and of course my face is broken out, so the last thing I want to do today is get my picture taken.

-PR keeps sending emails for me to promote their contests on various client Facebook pages, post articles with pictures as compensation, or my favorite, the follow up to the press release. I’ve been sending Will Wheaton Collating Papers in return. Not everyone pays to promote products like the people who are signed up for BzzAgent. (I deleted my account with them yesterday for the purpose of it.)

-Don’t forget to support Caring for Military Kids with Autism Act (CMKAA) – H.R. 2288. It’s one click. 1 in 88 Military kids is autistic. 10% of those are getting services. Let’s work to make that 100%. Apathy doesn’t change anything.

About Amanda

Amanda Griffiths sometimes feels as though she's running a zoo instead of a home. With two active autistic boys, they often make the noise of six kids. Pepper in some Army life and cyber schooling for spice, and it's organized chaos at best. When visiting, please don't feed the animals. They have food allergies.

  1. this whole paying to review thing just blows my mind…and sorry you guys are sick. We’re in that boat too – have been for 3 weeks!

    • Mine too! I think where they CYA is that you don’t *have* to blog, tweet, or post on Facebook. You can spread info by word of mouth, then submit a report, BUT it’s also been posted that if you don’t complete all of the components of a campaign, it will hurt your chances of being invited to future campaigns. Therefore, if you want invited to future campaigns, you should blog, tweet, and post on Facebook when you’re in a campaign if you want to be considered for the better future assignments because if you won’t, there will be someone behind you who will do it for free or pay.

  2. Oh my gosh your comment made me laugh about sounding like a 2 pack a habit. I do hope you are feeling better!!!
Lizbeth´s last [type] ..I don’t know how I did it but I did. That just sounds weird.

    • Thanks! From what I’ve heard from others who have had this illness, it’s a full 10-14 day thing. Being asthmatic, I figure it’ll hold on at least that long if not a bit longer.

  3. Ugh, whatever I have now is definitely NOT fun.
