A Day of Nothing

It was nice to get out this weekend and have a day of nothing. We had a day where we were able to schedule respite. It was Sunday that we all had available, so not much was open. It didn’t matter. My husband and I drove up to Hershey and decided to check out an antique place. We were disappointed to find a lot of junk and over priced fakes (more junk). There may have been some good stuff outside of what we were looking for, but that’s what we saw.

Then we just went for a drive to see what we could see. We didn’t see a lot, but we did find a couple different routes should we ever get stuck on the interstate coming home from visiting his hometown to the north.

Lastly, we stopped for lunch. This was really the goal all day. All I really wanted was some cheesesteak eggrolls. I’m glad we stopped. We were told that the restaurant will be changing them soon to Reuben rolls. We did have to pay a little extra because they don’t do the lunch menu on Sunday, but we didn’t care. The food was still worth it.

Then we came home to relax before the boys got home from the park because we were stuffed. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday.

About Amanda

Amanda Griffiths sometimes feels as though she's running a zoo instead of a home. With two active autistic boys, they often make the noise of six kids. Pepper in some Army life and cyber schooling for spice, and it's organized chaos at best. When visiting, please don't feed the animals. They have food allergies.

  1. CHEESE STEAK EGGROLLS! That is awesome. Sounds like a wonderful day, the luxury of doing nothing gets under-rated sometimes :)

  2. I love finding alternate routes in the service of avoiding future traffic snarls. Nothing like pulling off the interstate with confidence :-J
