-Awesome article out of The Army Times this weekend. Military brides facing deployment (spouse or service member), can take advantage of a program that will provide them a free wedding dress. How awesome is that? I always love to see the feel good articles out there, and this is definitely one of them. According to the article, the program started in 2007, and has already provided about 5,000 dresses to military brides to be.
-In military special needs news, the DoD continues to allow Tricare to cling to outdated materials so they can continue to deny military children autism therapy they need. Applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy has been proven medically necessary by other insurance plans, to include the one provided to other government employees, but not the military. Again, our children being denied. The House seems to have found their conscious and passed a measure to cover our children. It’s the Senate and people running Tricare who can’t seem to care about our military children.
-If you need something new for the kids to do this summer to beat the heat, try spongebomb bucket toss or tubes and pipes.
