BJ’s Wholesale Club – Review and Giveaway – CLOSED
When the offer to try BJ’s Wholesale Club came to my inbox, I took it. We’ve been discussing joining a warehouse club for about the last six months or so since our boys seem to have grown hollow legs. The amount of food we go through at times is astounding for just four people. BJ’s currently has an offer on their site for a 60 day trial membership (offer expires 12-31-09). You can check their store locator to see if there’s a BJ’s near you.
If you decide that you want to continue to save money on great products for longer than the trial period, ask an associate at the club about how to take advantage of the special new-member *paid offer for $45, which includes a $10 coupon and an extra two months of membership. If you sign up for the offer, you also will receive:
- A Member Savings Book with more than $1,000 in coupons and instant rebates
- “Sign up and Save” coupons worth $117 in savings
- 2 cards (one for you and someone else in your household)
- A no risk 100% money back guarantee on the fee if you are not satisfied
*Paid offer can vary by Club.
When we went to our nearest BJ’s, we were pleasantly surprised to find many items we already use. My deodorant for example was in a three pack, and the price was like getting one of those sticks free as compared to any other store. We also found a case of Hershey bars. Sure we live close enough to go to Chocolate World and get the cases, but BJ’s is closer and more convenient. I did find some of the prices to be the same as any other store, like on the laundry soaps, but some of the more expensive grocery store items, like cereal, were much less at BJ’s. During our trip we stocked up on these items that usually inflate our grocery bill such as cereal, snacks, soda, and juice.
For my readers, if you’d like to give BJ’s a try, I’d like to offer you a $25 gift card as a giveaway. To enter, just leave a comment here saying which item or items you think you’d save the most on at BJ’s Wholesale Club.
One entry per person. Contest ends at 11:59pm December 18, 2009. Winner will be announced December 19, 2009. I will notify winner by e-mail if your e-mail is connected to your comment. Otherwise, please check back on December 19, 2009. Winner will be drawn by random.org. Winner has 48 hours to claim prize after it’s posted on this site.
*This opportunity was provided by BJ’s Wholesale Club and General Mills in conjunction with My Blog Spark in the form of a free trial membership, a $25 gift card, and coupons.

I did BJs when Jake was little. It was great for baby stuff.
My BJs sucks (ha!! totally didn't mean that, but I'm keeping it!) because it was smallish and they really only stocked junk foods and sodas and stuff. The stuff I did buy there, like cereal and garbage bags and whatever was nice. I love bulk. But it wasn't worth the price of a membership anymore. I will definitely be re-signing up when Jake gets a little older and has hollow legs of his own.
I save the most at Bjs on diapers and wipes!
