Project 365 Week 6

This week was dominated by things breaking. It was the furnace still on the fritz, the Wii sensor bar, and the cable remote. Of course the cable box also has no manual way of changing channels. Who thought of that? And if we don’t have the box, we only get the first few channels, not all of them. Talk about a racket. At least everything also got fixed last week.

I also found a couple of still lifes set up by the boys randomly around the living room. The action figures on the book shelf I think were Zach’s doing. Aaron can reach up there, but not well enough to place those figures so accurately. Aaron’s still life is the construction equipment, dinosaur, kleenex box, and cookie on the coffee table. I had my last orthodontist appointment ever (unless I have an issue with my permanent hardware) and we stopped and got some of those yummy cookies while we were back up at the old house.

I’ve been on a roll lately. It’s a nice feeling after not scrapping for so many months. Here are a couple more layouts I’ve done recently. I’ve been doing a lot of template scrapping as well. It doesn’t seem as daunting of a task to me if I have a template. I guess it’s the first step in getting my mojo back.

Layout Dilemma

So I started scrapping this layout of my son with a caterpillar. I can’t decide if I like the horizontal or the vertical better, and both layouts are missing something, but I can’t put my finger on it. Any suggestions?

Some Good News

We got some good news – I hope – yesterday. The ENT said Zach’s ears look good and that we’re probably done with ear infections for the summer. Although he also said that Zach’s Nasonex will help open up his ears to allow that fluid to drain, and I had to point out he’s been on Nasonex this whole time. I’m not holding my breath, just yet, but the worst might be over. We go back in October for a recheck. I’ll be back before that with Aaron for his recheck on his tubes though.

So who’s excited for NSD, or International Scrapbooking Day as some have renamed it? I really don’t care what it’s called as long as there’s sales LOL. Do you have any favorite stores you’re hitting? Any favorite items you’re looking for? I don’t have a favorite store. I’m a store whore. I’ll go where the best sales are. I also use these fantastic sales to try new stores and designers. I’d have to say now that I’ve got a good product base built up I’m looking for good quality elements to fill out my stash. Not that I need any more scrapping supplies, but a woman can always use more right? For our DHs’ sakes we’ll just equate scrapping supplies to jewelry. There’s no such thing as too much LOL.

I’m glad the digiscrapping community isn’t generally an early rising community when it comes to the games and such for these special days. There are some community yard sales I want to hit up Saturday morning before things get into full swing on here. I also want to hit up the LSS for some hybrid supplies for mother’s day projects. They’re having stuff all month long I think. I’ll have to dig out my newsletter.
