Christmas Morning
Christmas morning with the kids was fairly uneventful. Zach ripped through all his gifts and then promptly took them all to his room so Aaron wouldn’t play with them. Not that I blame Zach. He got Star Wars action figures and Legos. With a 3 year old brother, they’re not exactly toys you want to [...]
Hershey Sweet Lights
After pizza last Wednesday, we went up to Hershey to the Sweet Lights display. I have to admit I thought $20 per car was a bit steep, but it was well worth it. The kids also got 3D glasses that Zach said made the lights look like snowflakes. We only got two pairs, and no [...]
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to everyone! May you and your have a great holiday. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, then I hope you enjoy the holiday that you do celebrate. For our house, the next two days are filled with plenty of family time. The best part is after all of the prep today, it’s pizza night! [...]
Wordless Wednesday – Decorating the Christmas Tree
In order to keep Aaron out of the glass ornaments, I let him put the nonbreakable ornaments around the bottom while I put the other ornaments on the tree. He found the kids’ Santa aprons and hats, and insisted on wearing one while he decorated.

I’m so very very behind on these this year. Some of you will be getting this in the mail – eventually. My grand plan for getting to the post office Saturday was thwarted by the snow. We got over eight inches here, and that was enough to keep everyone digging out until yesterday. Here is [...]
Secret Elf
I participated in a Secret Elf exchange with my MomDot girls. Karen from 3 Garnets & 2 Sapphires and I happened to get each other as the luck of the draw had it. Karen couldn’t have nailed down my gift more perfectly. In fact when I first opened the box I thought “When did I [...]

I really hope my kids grow up to appreciate breakfast with Santa on these early Saturday mornings in December when they’re older. It’s hell for us adults. Although it would be a lot better if it weren’t for the general lack of parenting. I saw one kid kicking his mom while in line to see [...]
The Clown Ornament
Yesterday I went to run my weekly errands. Because I hadn’t been out of the house to take some time for myself all week, I decided to browse the stores. I found this awesomely creepy Christmas elf I wanted to send to a friend, but I didn’t want to wait in line for a half [...]
Christmas Shopping
Yes, I said it – Christmas shopping. Ever since Aaron was born preemie 3 years ago, and I was done by November 4, I’ve really enjoyed getting done early and sitting back during the rest of the holiday season. I know a lot of bloggers are doing gift guides, but I thought I’d just take [...]

I’ve been doing well in the scrapping department lately. I’ve been trying to do a page a morning. I got one done yesterday of Aaron opening his Christmas gifts. I used Gina Marie Huff’s Jolly Holiday Collection from Weeds and Wildflowers again. I’m really liking that one for my Christmas photos this year. I also [...]
