People who think they're entitled to cram 2 cars into the DPW space and impede our 1 assigned space. Visitors spaces open just a few feet down the street.

We also clocked how far it is to the hoagie place from the new house. It will be half as far. Who wants to bet we still argue over whose turn it is to go? (For those out of the loop, it’s currently 0.6 mi)

What you’ve missed so far:

Zach sprained his ankle Monday. He was being a dumbass and fell down a slide backwards at the playground. This is why you tell your kids to not climb UP the slides, like we’ve been telling Zach since’ he’s been old enough to figure that one out.

This is what happens when you let boys dye eggs. You get “dead” eggs.

the penis mushrooms are home.

We moved those and put our name plate in the door since people seemed to like to park in our assigned spot at the new house. I’m sure the rude highly religious people with the Jesus message letter board on the front porch who share the other half of the house appreciate the penis mushrooms. If you want to follow moving shenanigans, I’m periodically checking in on Twitter and Facebook with such things.

Things of note:

-We’re going to like having space again instead of being crammed in on top of each other.
-I’m going to LOVE having a big kitchen even if I might curse the electric stove and not having a self cleaning oven.
-Built in dishwasher and NOT a portable FTW!
-Ice maker in the freezer!
-Did I mention SPACE!
-People living near us will get enjoyment out of watching me try to parallel park. I think I can count on both hands how many times I’ve had to legitimately parallel park and not just pull across a couple spots since I got my license in 1997.
-We can walk out our back door, and the pool is right there. RIGHT there. Pool passes and tired kids all summer, also FTW! Dare I say that Aaron may actually sleep?
-Closet space!
-Storage!
-Porches!
-No more asshole kids throwing apples off the apple tree off our back patio.
-I didn’t measure, but at least 12ft ceilings downstairs! We might have to get a real Christmas tree this year just to get a really big one like a remember my Uncle Denny having from my childhood.
-2 1/2 baths! Sure I’ll have to clean them, but we can give the kids their baths at the same time and streamline baths.

I could have taken more pictures. It was a gorgeous day, but it was nice to just be out enjoying the day. I didn’t take the big camera. All I had was my cell phone in my pocket.

Lunch was a burger and fries at Hungry Andy's in Fell's Point.

After our delicious and very reasonably priced burgers at Hungry Andy’s ($7.30 for 1/4lb burger, fries, and canned drink), we headed back towards the Inner Harbor. We stopped at Whole Foods where I got whole nutmeg. We also stopped at Miss Shirley’s for drinks and a snack, but there were no snacks to be had. The pancakes were $10.99. Every plate we saw being bussed off the empty tables had food on it. The portions were huge, but there’s also a $3 plate sharing fee. We thought it was pretentious, but that’s our opinion. The opinion of Baltimore is that it’s one of the best breakfasts/brunches. They had outdoor tables, but it was a 25 minute wait. I’m glad now we only waited 5 minutes for the crappy inside table we got.

Then we headed back to the car. I was done. My fibro was flaring. I thought I’d nap on the way home, but it was way too entertaining. Maryland drivers have this thing where they slow down to 60 MPH on the hills on the interstate. I guess they don’t use cruise control. Then we got off the interstate and took some back roads to kill time. In Hanover, PA, the population seemed adverse to wearing shirts.

Once we got back into the Harrisburg area, we weren’t sure what to do with ourselves, so we went bra shopping. I need to find a strapless one for the formal event we have coming up. No luck finding one, but we killed 45 minutes. Then we browsed Pier one and saw a great frog to go with our mushrooms in front of our house.

Then we headed off in search of food. We started at Appalachian Brewing Company for a draft beer (for the husband), a draft rootbeer (for me) and a cup of the cheddar ale soup.

I don't drink beer, but I love this soup.

Then we decided to move on to JoJo’s Pizza in Mechanicsburg for our main course. Supposedly the best pizza in Mechanicsburg, and boasting a gluten free option, we had pretty high expectations. Meh. Our pizza was under done. It tastes the same as Marcello’s, so no reason to drive to the next town for what we can get right around the corner. Nice to have a GF option when my dad and stepmom visit though.

Friday: Olive "cockroaches" for DH's dining in. I hear they were disgusting.

Saturday was pretty uneventful since the husband was gone all day doing day and night land nav with the cadets. Although, I did take the boys to the playground Saturday, and the kids there were amazing. They were so nice and included and adapted their games so my 5yo could understand and play with them. One of the older girls even let him tag her when she saw he wasn’t able to catch anyone. Something his own brother didn’t even do. It was pretty awesome.

Sunday: See adult sock monkey footie pajamas at Target. Threaten my friends with them for Christmas.

Have to re-bag my groceries when I get to the car at Wegmans - again. The bread was in with the potatoes. Consider just shopping at Giant only.

Also from Wegmans. 8 cartons of stock and milk in one bag. Just because you can fit it in a bag doesn't mean you should.

Go to put butterfly bandages on cut and realize maybe I should've gotten stitches. Friends advise to super glue, so that's what I do. No one had liquid bandage when I was out.

In case you’re wondering, the cut in the hand happened when I was cleaning the refrigerator and one of the shelves exploded. Unfortunately, it was the shelf that goes across the top of the crisper drawers. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get another. Note: fridge shelves still explode if you don’t let them come to room temp before cleaning them, even if you use just warm, not hot water. And when I say explode, I mean explode. I had glass in my hair at the base of my neck and it was stuck to the walls around the bath tub. I’m really damn lucky. Learn from my dumbass mistake.
