Clorox Green Works Review
I’ve never really been one to use stain removers. I’ve never had good luck with them. Every time I try a stain remover, despite its claims that it’s OK for colors, I end up with bleached spots, or the stain doesn’t come out. Enter MomCentral and Clorox Green Works. They sent me Green Works’ stain remover and laundry soap to try. And let’s face it, I enter most of my reviews skeptical because that’s just how I am. I never believe a product is truly as good as a company says.
I should’ve taken some before pictures, but Aaron got a nosebleed one night, and his pillow looked like a crime scene. Honestly, I was just going to
toss it and call it a day. I didn’t get a chance to wash it for a couple days, but then I thought, “If this stain remover can get these stains out, it’s good.” Low and behold, I sprayed the Green Works stain remover on the blood stains on the pillow case. There are a couple of really faint spots that didn’t totally come up, but the rest of it is gone. So then I got to thinking, “What else can I try this on?” So I took the coveted blankie that looks and smells terrible after being dragged around for three years now. I sprayed the entire thing in stain remover. I used the Green Works laundry soap this time as well, and my fabric softener as usual. The blankie looks and smells 100% better than it used to. My regular laundry soap and fabric softener could never get the smell totally gone, but the Green Works products did.
Now for the downside. I’m not sure how the laundry soap jives with our eczema. I haven’t used it on clothes yet, just sheets. It also has a stronger odor than I prefer for my laundry soap. I think it’s a great scent for sheets and towels so that you pull them out of the linen closet still smelling fresh, but I prefer the scent free detergents for our clothes.
