Comcast Has One Last Chance

I had to call Comcast again last night. We’ve only been customers since August 2008. So far the equipment total is 2 modems, 2 remotes, and we’ll be getting our 4th cable box today. We don’t do anything out of the ordinary with this equipment. The cable boxes just sit under the TV like I’m sure they do in almost every house. I was even told when I called customer service last night that the box we currently have is generally stable. Really? This is the 2nd of its kind we’ve had already. This box is evidently so ate up they couldn’t reset it when I was on the phone with them. When I pushed the On Demand button it told us we were “not entitled to view this selection.” Um excuse me? I think for the obscene amount of money we pay each month I’m quite entitled to watch what’s offered on the On Demand selections.

Last time this happened I found out that the guys who come to your house pretty much only have refurbished equipment with them so the company can save a few bucks. For what I pay each month, I demanded a brand new box this time. There’s no reason they can’t at least do that.

We shall see how long this new box holds up. Like I told the person I talked to in customer service last night though. If this box fails, I’m going back to DirecTv. Oh, and that doesn’t mean I’m keeping my internet with them if we switch either. I’ll pull ALL of our accounts from Comcast.
