Day Before Thanksgving

-It’s the day before Thanksgiving. I have some errands to run this morning – Zach’s allergy shots, get the fillets and fresh bread from the commissary, and a few other things I’ve wanted to do. It’s raining so I’m not looking forward to any of it.

-We went looking at cars and trucks last night to replace the dearly departed Pathfinder. Holy shit Batman. What are they putting in some of those vehicles? Gold? No wonder dealerships are having issues with sales. Not only can people not afford new cars in this economy, but cars that are being advertised on TV are $30,000 when you get to the dealership. For that price, it better wipe my ass.

- It’s been raining here since Monday. I haven’t even bothered to watch the weather on TV or look it up online like I usually do. I’ve just looked out the window and said “Crap, it’s still raining.” It can stop now.

- I’m really debating going out Black Friday. There’s nothing we need, but there are things we’d like to have. I’m not sure the deals are worth the hassle. I may wait until Cyber Monday. If stores were smart, they’d offer the same deals online and in store for the people who just don’t want to go out in the dark and cold and wet that’s predicted for Friday morning. We’re even predicted for a snow mix last time my husband told me – blah. I don’ t mind snow, but that wet slushy crap can freeze and cause problems.

- We’re still going out for our customary Wednesday pizza at Jigsy’s tonight. I’m hoping that everyone else will be too busy prepping for tomorrow to bother leaving the house and it won’t be crowded. I get a lot of hits for Jigsy’s and Old Forge pizza. I always wonder how many of the people there for the Wednesday night buffet are there as a result of this blog.

-Since it’s the day before Thanksgiving, I’d say I’m thankful for my family, but it’s hard when the boys are running around like banshees and I’ve only had about 3 hours of sleep. We’ll try again tomorrow.
