Enough

[ 2 ] June 26, 2008 | Amanda

OK, enough ranting and raving about the people in this world who ride the short bus and lick the windows. I shouldn’t get my panties in such a wad, but the 2 things that really piss me off are people who disrespect our soldiers and people who say things about my family. Other than that, I pretty much just go with it.

So, is it me, or is Mother Nature going through menopause this year? It’s 80, then 100 degrees, then it’s barely 70 for a week, and now it’s in the 90′s and humid as hell again. What gives? yeah the heat sucks, but I could really do without the humidity. It makes me feel like a horse is sitting on my chest.

I’d LOVE to upload the pictures I’ve been taking here and there the last couple weeks. I have run into a slight problem however. I can’t find my camera cord and the computer won’t recognize its card reader. I have DH’s camera cord of course. His camera is with him though. I suppose it won’t kill me to wait a few more days. In the meantime I should probably put the house back together since I’ve ripped it apart looking for my camera cord. DH understands that it’s harder for me to keep up with stuff when he’s gone because I’m a man down at home, but I still hate for him to come home to a messy house.

I took the boys and ran a couple errands late this afternoon since they were acting close to human and not so much like zoo animals. Little did I know the next town over is having their carnival. We didn’t see any rides, so I got out of stopping. Our carnival is the 1ST or 2ND week in August, and we’ll take the boys to that one. We can walk to it from our house, so there’s no wrestling with traffic or parking. I think ours is the biggest one in the area or close to it.

Now I have to go lay down the law. It seems I have a certain 7 year old who doesn’t want to go to bed. He got sent to bed early as punishment and he’s not taking it well. It’s one of those “I need a drink.” “I have a belly ache.” “I need my night light turned on,” ad nauseum nights. I’d just like one, one good day while DH is gone. I don’t think that’s a whole lot to ask.
