Free E-cards – Making Your Life Easier

[ 1 ] July 21, 2009 | Amanda

How many times have you had an upcoming occasion you need a card for and you forgot to buy one at the store? I know it’s happened to me quite a bit. With family, I could solve this dilemma by using Free Ecards. Of course not all my family has e-mail. No, that would be too easy. If I’m smart enough to remember the occasion a few days in advance I could use Free Printable Cards and mail one to the recipient. Then there are the months like August, September, and December where we have a TON of birthdays. I go to the card store and hope and pray that I got a card for everyone I need. Maybe I should invest in a pocket calendar, but that’s a whole other post about my lack of organization. Since we have so many birthdays in August, September, and December, I should definitely start using Free Birthday Ecards so I can sit here with my address book and make sure I got birthday greetings sent to everyone we love. Then I don’t have to worry about leaving anyone out or hurting any feelings. No one has said anything yet, so I think so far so good, but now would be a good time to make the switch to ecards.

I love sending e-cards. On one occassion, my sister said it was tacky of me to have sent her an e-card rather than mail a "real card." I replied that it's a great way to save the environment. To mail a card: trees, loss of forestry habitiat, electricity, gasoline/deisel, emissions, the list could go on and on. When I presented my reasons to her (and nicely, I'm not an in-your-face environmentalist, more of a "think about it this way…" person) she completely agreed. With so much communication being transmitted electronically, e-cards are more well received than when I started sending them about 10 years ago (yes, ten.) Thanks for blogging about this. I'd love for more people to use e-cards. With the economy the way it is, the price of cards and stamps are cost-prohibitive, eat least on my budget. Thanks! Heather
