Get It Together
I feel so disorganized since we moved. My “office” was right by the front door and I had an area for all those school papers and such. Now in this house, located in what locals call “Smurf Village,” there just isn’t room for the computer and its desk downstairs. For 2009, I’ve decided to get organized. I’m tired of remembering doctor appointments and field trips until the night before. I really need to get back on track with my organizer as well. I think I’ve been able to let things slide since our schedule hasn’t been as hectic with my husband’s new job. Now that we’re active duty Army (again for him), he’s not running hither and yon for both a civilian job and the National Guard. There were times he’d go three months or more with only a day or two off. I’ve also noticed a decrease in our doctor appointments so far this cold and flu season. Which again is great, but has allowed me to be a slacker. So, for 2009, I’m going to make sure I keep up my planner, update the family calendar, and get back on track with my e-mails. No more letting things pile up until they HAVE to be dealt with. Just don’t ask me to fold that pile of clean laundry I have in my laundry room. I think we’ll save that for 2010.
