Is There Something in the Air?

[ 4 ] November 23, 2008 | Amanda

Yesterday I spent my day running errands. I took my 7yo with me so he could pick out a movie at Blockbuster as his reward for a good couple of days ending the week. We’ve had a really rough time with him and his attitude lately, I was hoping that letting him choose a movie for his good choices would continue the trend. WRONG! Long story short I ended up in Target to buy Liquid Plumber last night at 7pm because now both bathroom sinks are running slow or clogged. When I left Limp Bizkit’s song Break Stuff was on the radio, and it was just very fitting for the day.

Has anyone else noticed the stores are more crowded as well? Not just the retail stores either. Even the grocery store has been a zoo if I go after 9am, and it doesn’t matter which day I go. I stopped into the commissary yesterday (I know, I was asking for it stopping on a Saturday to begin with). Between Zach’s lack of self control – he had to touch EVERYTHING he walked by- and all the people, I had total sensory overload and forgot 3 fairly key things I needed. At least they’re open today and I can run over as soon as they open.

OK, on to happier things. Has anyone seen the big Christmas kit at Weeds and Wildflowers? I don’t normally shop there, but I really like this kit. The entire bundle may seem pricey as each piece can be as much as $4, but it really looks worth it. I like that even though it’s a coordinated bundle, each grouping can be purchased separately so I can pick and choose the pieces I’ll truly use. It’s called Jolly Holiday, and it’s 20% off this weekend from what I’ve seen. If you’re interested, you can check it out here. The trees are my favorite piece of the collection.

I’ve also seen several other really cute Christmas and snowy Winter kits around lately. The Sweet Shoppe has several. I got Lliella’s newsletter yesterday with a really cute one in her store at Sunshine Studio Scraps called Christmas Cheer as well. Shabby Miss Jenn also sent out a newsletter for her Christmas Bazaar that was in my inbox this morning. Lots of stuff to drool over there from her new kits, to Kiss templates, to new blog wear. It’s going to be very hard to choose a kit for our Christmas cards this year.

I guess I just happen to hit the grocery store at the right time and it’s not too busy. But busy is a good sign for the economy.

Congrats on PSU win and the trip to the Rose Bowl.

    Enjoy your week.

What a weekend! Luckily, my husband went to the grocery store for me yesterday, but he said “Felicia, I’m so glad it wasn’t you!’ He knows what my patience level looks like! LOL! Crazy!

That dig scrapbook bundle looks adorable!

Kaboodle would be a good idea if she didn’t have 2 under age 4 with the third due in a week. She can barely get her emails read.

I knew deep down in your heart you really weren’t rooting for Michigan. *grins*

    Have a great week doll!
