Hershey’s Better Basket Blog Hop
Hershey's is giving back to the community this Easter season by making a donation to The Children's Miracle Network. For each of these blog posts giving virtual baskets to our friends, Hershey's will donate $10 up to $5,000. Let's help them reach that goal.
I'm going to hit up some of my fellow milspouses for this one. I think they all deserve an Easter basket of their own, even if virtual. Hey ladies, at least these ones won't tempt you with goodies you may be avoiding right now, right?

Kids Are NOT Being Kids
Have you heard the phrase "Kids will be kids," from your child's school? Has it made you want to smack some sense into someone? I just read for the second time this month about a child being bullied at school. I'm tired of these schools saying they have a zero tolerance policy, and yet if you say something about your child being bullied, it's "kids being kids." Which is it? Do you have zero tolerance, or do you want zero responsibility?
EVERY year since my son started school he has been seen by his peers as different and has subsequently been ...
A Need for Dye Free Medications
Thank you McNeil Corp. You screwed me. I love you for that. Can you feel the love in the form of my cursing your existence and Motrin recall? Your junior strength Motrin in the orange flavor is the ONLY chewable tablet OTC pain reliever I've found for my son that does NOT contain red dye. Even the generics use red+yellow dye to make orange. Now due to your massive recall, we're Motrinless.
Sure you have your dye free liquid, but two things. One, have you seen how thick that liquid is? It makes me gag just looking at it. And second, ...
Army Fun Facts

-We ALL pay for our dental health coverage. Even soldiers. We pay soldier only, or it's based on soldier and number of dependents up to a certain number. After that cut off number it's the same premium no matter how many kids you have.
-The dental coverage really isn't bad.
-Tricare, our health care system, is good IF you ONLY need routine care.
-You may or may not know ...
My daughter does this every year at school too! We are no strangers to heart issues as well – on both sides of our family, there are serious concerns. I worry about my kids’ health when they get to our age.
