Mother’s Day Gifts

[ 0 ] April 27, 2009 | Amanda

Mother’s Day is fast approaching. I wanted to be ahead of the game this year as last year my husband and I were so busy the day was about 2 days away and we ended up saying “Oh crap! Mother’s Day is in 2 days!” I wasn’t so much worried about myself but what to do for our moms. My gift is easy and can be done on a last minute memory. Every year, my husband gives me the day off. I have the entire day to do as I wish. We also do this for him for Father’s Day, and again for each other on our birthdays. It’s nice to know that as a parent we are guaranteed at least a couple days off a year.

-If you’re still at a loss for a gift for the mom(s) in your life, you can check out the 20% off Mother’s Day Gift Guide at Someone Spoil Me. They’ve covered a wide array of gifts and budgets so you’re sure to find something for your mom that she’ll love.

-If you’re in Florida, you could catch a May show Mother Load. It’s a humorous slant on how competitive parents have gotten these days. The New York Times says it’s “like Annie Hall wearing a nursing a bra!”

- Beginning May 8th for 48 hours only, there’s a free book download. The book is called The Mother’s Guide to Self Renewal: How to Reclaim, Rejuvenate and Re-Balance Your Life by Renee Trudeau (a $20 value). You can go to the site now and sign up. You’ll get the download in your inbox during Mother’s Day weekend.
