A Need for Dye Free Medications

Thank you McNeil Corp. You screwed me. I love you for that. Can you feel the love in the form of my cursing your existence and Motrin recall? Your junior strength Motrin in the orange flavor is the ONLY chewable tablet OTC pain reliever I've found for my son that does NOT contain red dye. Military Needs to Make Up Its Mind

Once again I'm left baffled. I just read an article where because of war spending, we military families may lose post services and programs. But I thought we had the Army Family Covenant. I thought the DOD was doing MORE to support or military families, not less. I guess once again, that's all lip service. These are based upon my experiences as an Army spouse. My experience falls as a traditional Army National Guard spouse and now as an Active Guard/Reserve spouse (AGR) with a combined total of 10 years. -We ALL pay for our dental health coverage. I've already been stressing about Zach's therapies for his Asperger's. It seems we can use the Tricare (military insurance for newbies) plan we're on now, and use ONLY network doctors (ie. lowest contract bidders because that's how they do government contracts), and still pay a copay every month. OR, we can move Zach to a different plan that will allow us to use pretty much any doctors we choose, but we'll be paying up to $1,000 of allowable costs per year. What a week! First the stomach virus from hell. Then we had Stomach Virus from Hell round 2, but thankfully only Zach was affected that time as DH and I were still recovering from round 1. Then we got this snow. Official reports say our town got 15″. We shoveled about 2 feet, so someone needs a new ruler. My fibromyalgia is fighting back against all the stressors my body has been under lately. The family is lucky to have clean underwear right now.

Until I dump my camera and get those snow pictures to show you, I wanted to share some blogs I’ve been reading lately. I’ve been good at reading, not so much on the posting during all the events of the past week.

-The Army Wife: Her life as a new mom and Army wife.

-Fever: I think you’ll either love or hate this blog. I love love love it. Lora is one of the few blogs that I saved to my phone as well.

-Crazy Adventures in Parenting: Lisa’s crazy life with 6 kids. There’s never a dull moment. Hilarity often ensues.

-Creative Junkie: One of the few blogs where I usually end up literally laughing out loud and leave my family asking “What?” Andrea just has a wonderful way with words.

-My Trendy Tykes: Who doesn’t love a SAHM who eats bon bons all day? She also speaks my language – sarcasm.

-The Domestic Goddess: A new blog to me, but I’m in love already. I found her blog from a comment she left on Fever, and she also has a child on the Autism Spectrum. Her writing is what keeps me returning.

These are all great blogs..thanks for sharing! Sorry about the stomach flu, we too have had the flu but not the stomach kind and it kicked us with round 2 also! Terrible! Hope your all feeling better
