Stalemate
I think I’ve hit a stalemate with the school. Nothing was said to me when I picked Zach up early, and he wasn’t sent to the Principal’s office at all yesterday. I’d bet the farm that they’re thinking he’s only there 2 more weeks. They’re lazy like that. Plus it’s just something to be swept under the rug like everything else. They were quite confused as to why I wanted a 2nd grader’s school records though. Um, DUH. You’re incompetent fools and a trained monkey could do better as an administrator. I’m checking up on you. But, I passed it off as I’m collecting them as we go school to school now that DH is active duty in case they get lost along the way. We’ve got 13 more years of Army time now, and moving an average of every 3 years, that’s a lot of schools LOL. Whatever. There was a whole 3 pages to his records other than his report cards LOL. Guess he’s not THAT bad.
We’re off to the new house for the weekend. Zach has an appointment in the clinic on post so that we have continuity of care with our allergy shots (that’s a novel for another day). So I told DH we’d just camp out with him this weekend. No sense him driving all the way up here and back and then me driving down and back Monday. Plus, I can kit Kohl’s Saturday early bird sale LOL. The boys need fall and winter jammies. Supposedly Kohl’s has the same deals online as in store (except shipping costs), and they had their Carter’s sleepers on sale. That’s the one thing that I make sure is name brand so that they hold up all winter. Zach’s too big for Carter’s for the first time this year, so I’ll have to find him truly big boy jammies. We’re moving into 8′s (at least on top). He’s not my baby anymore.
I’m going to leave you this weekend with this thought. Zach said this to me at the allergist yesterday. “Mom, what happens if a mosquito flies up an orangutan’s nose?” Don’t think about it too hard, or you might get an aneurysm.

Moving every 3 years… not easy to cope with…
I don’t really know about all of your issues at school.. but I’m guessing they aren’t pleasant.. what a pain
and… the orangutan and mosquito is funny… how do kids think of these goofy things?
Hope you had a wonderful weekend camping out at the new home. And got lots of new decorating ideas. (yea shopping).
When I was a kid we moved every year til I was in the 4th grade, so from a kids standpoint, I can understand Zach’s pov a little bit. But I didn’t have to deal with the school bs, but I feel for ya.
OSU won…it wasn’t pretty but a win is a win.
Have a great week. The countdown to movin day is on!!!
Boys say the funniest things! My kids brought home a massive amount of papers from their records last year. Seems the state doesn’t require them to keep certain things after third grade. You should have seen the evaluations from kindergarten, whew! (at least 15 pages) There were also allot of writing papers from each grade and some drawings. The kids had a blast reading through them.
