Wordless Wednesday – Cheese

[ 19 ] July 1, 2009 | Amanda

Do you think I take a lot of pictures? This is my 2yo watching his older brother play in the sprinkler (he was afraid of it). When he spied me with the camera, he struck this pose and says “Cheeeeeese.” Now if we could just get rid of that binky. It’s the bane of my existence right now.

That's so cute. And if you want to banish the binky here is what I did: cut a small hole in it. I guess they don't like it after there is a hole in it. My oldest had chewed a hole in his and then gave it up. So with child #2 and 3 I cut one in there's…it worked for my kids.

Super cute! We had a tough tie taking the nuk or binky away from LJ as well, and one night I just took it and cut out the sucking part. We allowed him to hold, nibble, etc on the other portion. It lasted 3 days. Then he would just throw it. He only cried the second night. The first he said nothing, went to sleep and I thought, "wow that was too easy." It was, and the second night was h*ll. But we made it, and now his teeth look better already! Good Luck getting rid of it!

How cute! We didn't get rid of the binky until my son turned 3. I wish we would have done it sooner, but I was weak. Finally I just told him that we were giving all his binkies to the garbage man (he loves the garbage man) and that he would take them to the dump. That was it, and he hasn't asked for it since!

What a cutie patootie! I have several hams around here too. The only one of my kids who would even take a binky, I took it away around 8 mos and that worked good for us. I've always heard the sooner you take it away, the easier it is. Good luck!:)
